The eleventh hole shares the stream with the tenth and again any shot to the right is likely to be gathered up by it. The left-hand side is the favourite position and with no fairway bunkers, it can be seen as a generous target. Longer hitters need to be aware of the stream that crosses the fairway especially as the prevailing wind is from behind . once over the stream the green opens up in front of you and is both wide and long. Carefully placed bunkers protect the green on either side but the shorter the iron used for your approach shot, the more you can attack the flag.

"The 11th is a long par 4 for men. It's a pretty hole with water to the side and to the front, and it has great views around the course. The green is reachable in two only with a long, accurate drive down the fairway. As soon as you approach the tee you're thinking that you need to avoid the stream on the right but not to go too far left so that you end up in the trees. For many golfers, the second shot requires a very accurate fairway wood or long iron to the middle of the green to avoid two challenging bunkers on either side. If I come off the 11th green with a par 4, I am chuffed to bits. "
